 How to Remove spyware ?
After installing Spy Sweeper, you may notice that if you right-click a folder in Explorer, a new option "Sweep for Spyware" appears. Selecting this option will run Spy Sweeper, scanning the folder's contents for spyware or questionable content. While some find this feature useful, others do not like additions made to their Explorer context menu.
How to Scan For Spyware ?
To help prevent spyware infections or to help remove spyware that can infect your system, you can force Spy Sweeper to run automatically whenever Windows starts. Though this sweep can take several minutes or longer to perform, you may find this scheduled scan convenient in that you may not need to manually run Spy Sweeper yourself.
1. Double-click the Spy Sweeper icon in your Windows taskbar. If it is not present, you can click "Spy Sweeper" in your "Programs" or "All Programs" menu.
2. Click the "Options" button on the left.
3. Click the "Schedule" button on top.
4. Check "Sweep at Windows Startup".
How to Delete Quarantined Items ?
The Quarantine feature in Spy Sweeper lets you file away software, cookies, registry settings, etc. that it thinks may be spyware or adware so you can later examine them.
If you would like Spy Sweeper to remove items quicker, if you would like an extra month to determine whether or not to permanently delete quarantined items, or to prevent Spy Sweeper from ever cleaning the Quarantine without your user input, do the following:
1. Double-click the Spy Sweeper icon in your Windows taskbar. If it is not present, you can click "Spy Sweeper" in your "Programs" or "All Programs" menu.
2. Click the "Options" button on the left.
3. Click the "Program Options" button on top.
4. From here:
* To clear items sooner or quicker, click the pull-down to the right of "Automatically Delete Items in Quarantine More Than" and select either to clear items older than 7, 30, 60, or 90 days.
